NYS Department of Health’s Division of Chronic Disease Services

HEA+LTHY Schools NY is a five-year grant designed to help Bronx public schools in District 7 and 9 build and sustain an environment that makes healthy eating and physical fitness a daily priority. This work will inform and drive district and city-wide school wellness policies.

Partnership for a Healthier Bronx

The Partnership for a Healthier Bronx at Bronx Health REACH/Institute for Family Health is committed to improving the health of Bronx residents by making the healthy choice the easy choice. Healthier Bronx is part of a citywide initiative. The Partnership for a Healthier New York City is funded by a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Community Transformation Grant to the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.

REACH Across the Nation Consortium (RANC)

The Institute-led Bronx Health REACH coalition is one of the 15 local communities participating in the National REACH Coalition’s CDC-funded REACH Across the Nation Consortium (RANC). As a RANC grantee, Bronx Health REACH will implement evidence and practice based initiatives to reduce health disparities related to nutrition and physical activity in Bronx public schools.
