Do you or a loved one struggle with pain pills, heroin, or fentanyl? Medications for Addiction Treatment (MAT) can help.
Each person has a personal path to recovery from opioid use disorder. Treatment with medication can help you or your loved one begin your recovery, regain your life and place in the community, and improve your relationships with family and friends. The Institute is here to help – we offer MAT services in New York City and the Mid-Hudson Valley, and are especially proud to partner with organizations in Ulster County to make sure that Ulster County residents know about MAT.
MAT can help you or your loved one live free of pain pills, heroin and fentanyl. With MAT, your primary care provider will give you a regular dose of a medication called buprenorphine/suboxone that will help you manage the symptoms of withdrawal, like cravings, body aches, anxiety and stomach issues. Thousands of people have used MAT to overcome addiction and take control of their lives. We offer MAT as part of comprehensive primary medical care, so you can get help with all of your primary medical needs in one place. People who need more intensive treatment for their substance use are referred to dedicated addiction treatment centers, while we continue to provide primary care services.
MAT is available for people aged 18 and older. Services are available in English and Spanish.
