Dr. Gail L. Rosseau Presents Grand Rounds on January 10th

Gail L. Rosseau, MD, esteemed neurosurgeon and the director of skull base surgery at NorthShore University HealthSystem in Chicago will present at the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health’s January Grand Rounds. Dr. Rosseau’s presentation is entitled “The Sports Concussion ‘Epidemic’: Current Concepts and Controversies.” It will focus on counseling patients and families about sports concussions.Dr. Rosseau serves on the Board of Directors and the Medical Advisory Committee of USA Football, the governing body for amateur American football. She frequently presents on brain and spinal injury prevention both national and internationally.

The event is from 8-9am on Friday, January 10th in Mount Sinai’s Hess Seminar Room A in the Hess Center for Science and Medicine Building, 1470 Madison Avenue, 2nd floor.

Department of Family Medicine and Community Health Grand Rounds are supported with a generous donation from the Steven A. and Alexandra M. Cohen Foundation. They are open to all. Grand Rounds aim to increase knowledge of medical care topics relevant to family medicine, to describe the latest advances in the field of family medicine, and to apply current practice guidelines to the field of family medicine. They occur on the second Friday of every month throughout the academic year and are attended by residents of the Harlem Residency in Family Medicine.
