Dr. Sadia Hussain was born in New Jersey but grew up in Wilkes-Barre, PA. She went to NYU and studied social work and later pursued a Masters in Social Work. She later worked as an Americorps VISTA at a charter school in Philadelphia where she implemented programs for health and wellness, including healthy eating, farm education, high school sexual education, and grant writing. She moved to the Caribbean island of Grenada and attended St. George’s University to purse a MD/MPH. Learning in Grenada broadened her outlook on providing efficient and sustainable healthcare and motivated her to practice medicine with a public health and primary care perspective. With her background in social work, she hopes to bring a unique insight into helping individuals take care of their health. In her free time, she likes to explore new foods and new places, read fiction, play tennis, play the piano, and spend time with family and friends.
