Professional experience & accomplishments

Dr. Tamaki-Seiffert (pronouns: she/her) received her M.D. from Ben Gurion University in Israel, where she volunteered with Physicians for Human Rights-Israel to increase access to healthcare in the Occupied West Bank. Since her time in the Middle East, she has been committed to tackling health disparities in her daily clinical work as a primary care physician. She is a member of WPATH (World Professional Association for Transgender Health) and serves a growing population of Transgender and Non-Binary adolescents and adults in the Hudson Valley by offering culturally responsive Gender Affirming Care that empowers her patients and promotes equity. She is the lead physician for the Gender Wellness Clinic at Kingston Family Health Center. Her professional interests include global health, cross-cultural medicine, LGBTQ+ health and integration of behavioral health into primary care. She is a fellow at UC Davis/UC Irvine Train New Trainers Primary Care Psychiatry Fellowship Program. In her spare time, she enjoys running, hiking, traveling, trying new foods and spending time with her partner and daughter.
