A little about me
I am the director of the Institute’s Family Nurse Practitioner Fellowship. Since 1994, I have provided primary care at the Institute’s Walton Family Health Center, where I still maintain an active patient panel. I have been responsible for the development of interdisciplinary models of care at the Institute, such as diabetic shared medical visits in both English and Spanish. I have also been a champion of the CenteringPregnancy and CenteringParenting Programs at the Institute and work very closely with both programs.
Professional certifications or affiliations
In the Spring of 2018, I received the “Distinguished Alumni Award” from the Columbia University School of Nursing. I have also presented at various professional conferences across the nation, including STFM (Society of Teachers in Family Medicine) and at NONPF (National Organization for Nurse Practitioner Faculty).
