Professional experience & accomplishments

Dr. Julie Schoonover is a board-certified family medicine physician and graduate of the Institute’s Downtown Residency in Urban Family Medicine. She is currently completing an ECRIP (Empire Clinical Research Investigator Program) fellowship focusing on music therapy for substance use disorders. She received a bachelor’s degree from Columbia University in Comparative Literature and Society and studied medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
