Professional Experience and Accomplishments
Dr. Julie Schoonover is a faculty member at the Harlem Residency in Family Medicine and assistant professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She provides patient care as a family physician at the Institute’s Walton Family Health Center. She conducts studies focused on music therapy in primary care.
Dr. Schoonover went to medical school at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and completed her residency at the Mount Sinai Downtown Residency in Urban Family Medicine. After residency, she completed the Empire Clinical Research Investigator Program (ECRIP) at the Institute for Family Health as well as the Clinical Research Training Program at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
