A little about me

Before attending medical school, I studied at SUNY New Paltz, learning biology alongside women’s and gender studies. I aim to bring this educational background to my clinical practice with an intersectional approach to understanding and teaching patients how to help themselves. I am eager to return to the Hudson Valley, as a resident dedicated to family medicine and the wide variety of people we see every day.

Why I love my job

Medicine is about helping people, but family medicine is about helping communities, in lifelong ways that extend beyond the hospital and into families, children, and future generations. Whether it’s about a grandfather asking about the best approach to his insulin management so he can keep up with his grandkids, or a teenager telling me about what they want their gender to look like and how to get there safely. That’s the full range of community care and why I chose family medicine.
