Professional experience & accomplishments

After growing up in New York and attending college in Rhode Island, Dr. Jordan McDonald spent eight years living in California where he gained experience working in harm reduction and substance use medicine, HIV and hepatitis C prevention, and healthcare for incarcerated people. He attended medical school at University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. Dr. McDonald spent time during medical school living in Mexico to learn Spanish and is passionate about bringing patient-centered, empathetic healthcare to his patients and their communities. His professional interests include sexual health, reproductive justice, and LGBTQ+ and trans-affirming care. Dr. McDonald loves family medicine because he is able to use his skills, knowledge, and expertise to bring healing to his little corner of the world.
