A little about me
Isi was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and moved to the US when they were six, growing up in Evanston. After completing their undergraduate and medical education at Northwestern University, Isi is thrilled to join the Institute. Isi strives to use a trauma-informed, harm reductive, and abolitionist approach with patients, recognizing that environmental factors such as zip code determine most of health outcomes.
Why I love my job
Isi is passionate about community medicine and public healthcare for historically oppressed communities and being part of the work to lessen deeply entrenched healthcare disparities, including advocacy for systemic changes.

Professional Experience and Accomplishments
In medical school, Isi helped run a free gynecological clinic at Community Health in Chicago which was recognized with a Student Senate Award. Previously, they were a volunteer Spanish interpreter at this clinic. They also participated in the Latin Medical Student Association (LMSA), the LGBTQ+ advocacy group, and SNaHP (Students for a National Health Program) in medical school. Isi was a 2022 recipient of the AAFP Family Medicine Leads Scholarship, the 2023 Martin Lipsky Award for Excellence in Family Medicine, the 2023 Dr. Edward A. Newman Family Scholarship, and is a National Health Service Corps scholar.
