Professional Experience and Accomplishments
Esha Mehta is originally from Rochester, NY and spent the past nine years in Washington, DC. She graduated from the MD/MPH program at the George Washington University and joined the Institute for Family Health team as a resident physician in June of 2022. Although she loves the comprehensive nature of family medicine, Esha has a special interest in addiction medicine. During medical school, she was a founding member of one of the nation’s first student-supported MOUD programs in Washington, DC. In 2021, Esha was a selected to be a Reporting Fellow with the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting, investigating the prospects of safe consumption sites throughout the United States, and honing in on Washington, DC. She is extremely excited to be training in NYC, where new initiatives for harm reduction continue to develop.
