Professional experience & accomplishments

Dr. Devashree Parmar was born in India and grew up in a small town in northern Alberta, Canada, called Grande Prairie. She is interested in behavioral health, patient education, and serving underserved population groups. Her ability to practice family medicine, especially in underserved communities, is particularly gratifying and personal to her, since she was also raised in such a community. She loves the meaningful connections, continuity of care and working with a wide spectrum of ages and people in this context. Dr. Parmar was a professional swimmer and enjoys the sport to this day. She likes to spend her downtime exploring and hiking places she has never been to, and to capsulate those memories through the art of photography.
