Professional experience & accomplishments

Dr. Christopher Gamboa was raised in Jacksonville, Florida and attended college in Gainesville, Florida. After living in the foothills of the Appalachians in Birmingham, Alabama, he enjoyed New York City’s vibrancy while at Weill Cornell. Now he is excited to return to a community surrounded by natural beauty. Dr. Gamboa is interested in strengthening the primary care health system, health policy research and leadership and universal health insurance. He enjoys getting to know patients to better serve their pursuit of wellbeing, continually learning, and developing the foundation for a universal health insurance system, so no one goes without necessary care. He loves cooking and passing time with his partner and their dog, watching comedies and dramas, hiking and kayaking, frequenting bakeries and cafes, and reading the news.
