A little about me

I was born and raised in New York and currently live in the Bronx. A core value that I have in taking care of people is “shared decision making”, where patients and I communicate and work together closely on staying healthy or treating diseases.

Why I love my job

My favorite part of being a family doctoris being able to take care of a whole family – parents, children, grandparents, aunts/uncles – you name it! Also, I have always wanted to help people. Professionally, I do that, but I am also committed to this community through being a good neighbor and in my faith-based community service.

Professional experience & accomplishments

After completing my family medicine residency at NYP-Columbia, I came to the Institute in 2016. I became the associate medical director of my practice in 2018. I was nominated to be an Epic Guru and then Epic Clinical Champion in 2018, where I work closely with PMT to optimize and implement changes to our EMR Epic. This clinical champion position also made it possible to transition into the role role of Interim Telehealth Director at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020 to assist with implementation of telehealth services at the Institute.
