A little about me
I have been a professional social worker since 2002. I started my career as a Care Manager working in Preventive Services with families in New York City. I then moved on to work at a Child Advocacy Center as a Clinical Forensic Specialist with victims of sexual abuse, where I gained my expertise in Forensic Interviewing with children and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Prior to coming to The Institute for Family Health in 2019, I was a Psychiatric Social Worker in a hospital for many years, where I primarily worked in a School-Based Mental Health Clinic providing individual and group psychotherapy.
Why I love my job
I chose to be a social worker because it gives me the opportunity to step into people’s lives and hopefully make a difference in some way. I know that I made the right career choice because after more than 20 years, I am still able to say that I love what I do.
