A little about me

I am a first-generation Romanian immigrant who lived in Florida since my move to the United States. My family’s experience with a lack of health insurance inspired me to pursue a degree in Computational Biology at Florida State University with the hopes of pursuing medicine. After graduating, I worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator and a high school substitute teacher for two years. I attended Florida State University College of Medicine, a school dedicated to underserved primary care medicine. Throughout my medical education, I worked with underserved communities and migrants in my local city, volunteered at homeless shelters and food pantries, and was involved in research projects relating to addiction and creating sustainable healthcare solutions for a rural village in Honduras. I am excited to join the Institute and create lasting relationships with patients and their families while helping educate her patients about preventative health and fighting for health equity. Outside of my medical interests, I love being outdoors with my family and friends, whether it is walking through a local park, hiking through a national park, rock climbing, or sitting in a park. I also loves going to local live music events and reading.
