A little about me

I am a board-certified family physician with a strong interest in primary care for underserved communities, preventive care and integrative medicine. I previously worked as a reseracher in Seattle, WA; and recently completed my residency at Institute’s Mount Sinai Downtown Residency in Urban Family Medicine. I was born born in Mysore, India, and spent most of my childhood in Michigan.

Professional experience & accomplishments

Dr. Bhandiwad is a board-certified family physician and graduate of the Institute’s Mount Sinai Downtown Residency in Urban Family Medicine. Born in Mysore, India, Dr. Bhandiwad spent most of his childhood in Michigan before obtaining his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in Cellular and Molecular Biology. He attended Georgetown University and completed a Masters in Physiology ‚ Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM). He spent the next year as a researcher in Seattle, WA, conducting trials in Vitamin D administration and sauna-based detoxification. He then completed medical school at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, furthering his interest in underserved primary care.
