During her time in medical school, Dr. Anita Venkatesan realized the strong need for a public health approach to medicine, which inspired her to pursue a Master’s in Public Health in Epidemiology. Her role as a physician is to empower patients with all the necessary knowledge and to work with them to determine the best health care plan. Dr. Venkatesan finds medicine to be one of the most beautiful and inspiring professions because it is built on trust through the patient-physician relationship. Preserving and building this trust influences the way she practices and encourages her to find innovative methods to deliver the best care.
