A little about me

I obtained my Bachelor’s from Wilson College in Pennsylvania and my Master’s in Social Work from Hunter College School of Social Work. I have studied abroad at the Universidad Javeriana de la Compañía de Jesús in Bogota, Columbia and lived in England and Spain.

Professional experience & accomplishments

Alma has served as a child and adult psychotherapist in several mental health clinics in Manhattan and The Bronx. For years she was the Administrative Coordinator of the D.O.V.E. Program at NY Presbyterian Hospital and their leading expert on domestic violence and sexual assault trauma. She was the Clinical Supervisor at St Barnabas Hospital’s Community Mental Health Clinic in the Bronx. Most recently, she was the Asst. Clinical Director at Northside Center for Child Development.

Alma is an advocate of women’s rights and survivor’s rights.
