Professional Experience and Accomplishments
Dr. Aaron Afran was born and raised in New York and is thrilled to return after completing his undergraduate and medical education at Boston University. He believes that physical well-being is deeply intertwined with social and environmental factors, and has conducted research on the impact of social determinants of health on patients’ ability to access breast imaging. In addition, Dr. Afran is an advocate for Medicare for All as a member of Physicians for a National Health Program (PNHP). His professional interests include social determinants of health, health policy, reproductive health, and medical education. He believes it is a privilege to train in family medicine at a community health center and to serve the people of New York.
