NYC Mayor and First Lady Announce plan to Reduce Opioid Abuse Deaths

Mayor Bill de Blasio and First Lady Chirlane McCray announced an initiative on Monday, March 13, 2017, to reduce opioid overdose deaths by 35 percent over the next five years. The Institute will be one of the city contractors who will distribute naloxone kits and train additional providers to combat the opioid use in New York City.
