The Institute Partners with Live Well Kingston
June 13, 2014
“The Institute is delighted to partner with Live Well Kingston, a new city-endorsed coalition coordinated by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ulster County focused on improving, promoting and supporting healthier lifestyle choices in Kingston.” According to a recent statement from Cornell Cooperative Extension, the coalition is building a better Kingston to walk, bike, eat and play.
Live Well Kingston is establishing community workgroups that will improve the health of the Kingston community. The goal is to help Kingston residents achieve better health through greater access to healthy food and opportunities for physical activity.
“This is another example of an important investment in a city-wide partnership that is building the capacity of our community to create changes that encourage people to make healthy lifestyle choices,” said the city of Kingston Mayor Shayne Gallo. “The Live Well Kingston Coalition and its member organizations are enthusiastically moving the city toward being a place where healthy eating and active living become part of our culture.”
