Institute Staff at the Amsterdam Family Health Center Encourage Parents to Read to Children ‘Early and Often’ for Success in School

The visit was made to support Reach Out and Read, a program that partners with doctors and other medical providers to encourage families to read together. Before preschool or pre K, reading aloud is one of the best ways parents can prepare their kids for success in school. Children that attended the reading received free books and information for their parents on the importance of reading aloud.
