Dr. Linda Prine Presents Grand Rounds on December 19th

New York, NY (December 8, 2014) – Linda Prine, MD will present the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health’s December Grand Rounds. Her presentation, entitled, “Outpatient Management of Early Pregnancy Loss,” will discuss diagnosis and management of early pregnancy loss in the family medicine setting, as well as complications, risk factors, and patient education.

Dr. Linda Prine is Senior Faculty at the Mount Sinai Beth Israel Residency Program in Urban Family Practice and at the Harlem Residency in Family Medicine. She is the Director of Women’s Health for the Institute for Family Health and Medical Director of the Reproductive Health Access Project. Dr. Prine is active in the New York State Academy of Family Physicians and has been on the Board and the director of the Public Health Commission. In 2012 she was awarded the Rashbaum Award from Physicians for Reproductive Health for mentoring, teaching, and inspiring students and physicians-in-training. In 2014 she was named Family Medicine Educator of the Year by the New York State Academy of Family Physicians.

As part of the Mount Sinai Health System’s virtual campus, videoconferencing will be offered with the Beth Israel Medical Center’s Department of Family Medicine and the Mount Sinai-affiliated Mid-Hudson Family Practice Residency in Kingston.

The event will be held from 8-9am on Friday, December 19th in Mount Sinai’s Hatch Auditorium in the Guggenheim Pavilion (1468 Madison Avenue at 100th Street<), 2nd Floor. A light breakfast will be served at 7:45am.

Department of Family Medicine and Community Health Grand Rounds are supported with a generous donation from the Steven A. and Alexandra M. Cohen Foundation. They are open to all and occur on the second Friday of every month throughout the academic year.
