The Institute offers three Overdose Responder Training Webinars for International Overdose Awareness Day

On August 31st, the Institute for Family Health will be joining a global community in hosting events for International Overdose Awareness Day. Beginning in 2001, International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD) marks a day of raising awareness and remembering those that we have lost to the opioid epidemic. Last year, nearly 1,000 events for IOAD were held across 39 countries including tabling events at 8 Institute health centers.
While events held around the world will look very different this year, their importance is just as vital. We know today that the impact of COVID-19 and the Opioid Epidemic disproportionately impact the already marginalized communities we serve.
On August 31st, the Institute will be holding a series of virtual overdose responder trainings available to all patients and community members:

Attendees will be eligible to have a free Narcan kit mailed to them.
