The Institute for Family Health staff will offer virtual events for National Diabetes Awareness Month

November is National Diabetes Awareness Month. To promote diabetes education, the Institute for Family Health will offer two online interactive workshops and two Q&A events on Instagram Live.

On November 2, at 1:30 pm, Certified Diabetes Educator Stephanie Graziano will be taking questions on Instagram Live in two Q&A sessions. The first Live Q&A will cover the basics of diabetes. To join, follow us on Instagram and click on our profile picture during the event times. All are welcome to attend!
On November 18, we will hold two online workshops. Both events are open to all.
The first will be held from 10:00am-12:00pm with Certified Diabetes Educators Nadia Mumper and Juliana Martinez. Please use this link to join on Thursday, November 18, at 10:00am.
The second is from 3:00pm-5:00pm with Certified Diabetes Educators Concepcion Bulo and Eliza Hamburger. Please use this link on Thursday, November 18, at 3:00pm.
Just drop in to join either one. The instructors will share healthy eating tips, lead a few rounds of joyful movement to promote physical activity, share a diabetes-friendly smoothie recipe, and play a diabetes-related game. Both sessions will be conducted in both English and Spanish.
On November 23 at 1:30 pm, we will hold the second Live Q&A. It will cover managing diabetes during the holidays. To join, follow us on Instagram and click on our profile picture during the event time.
