The Institute for Family Health is pleased to announce that Dr. Linda Prine, MD, FAAFP, Director of Women’s Health, has received the 2021 Physicians Who Are Changing the World Award. This award is given every year by the Family Medicine Education Consortium (FMEC) and honors a family physician who has demonstrated significant achievement in promoting the health and well-being of their communities at the local, state, national and international level.

Dr. Prine is the founding director of the Reproductive Health Care and Advocacy Fellowship, provides leadership for women’s health and reproductive health care at the Institute.  She also maintains an active patient panel and serves as faculty for the Institute’s family medicine residencies. In addition, Dr. Prine is the medical director and co-founder of the Reproductive Health Access Project (RHAP), a network of primary care providers who are interested in women’s health and reproductive health.

“We are immensely proud of Dr. Prine’s leadership over the years and the work she has done to integrate women’s and reproductive health into the field of family medicine,” said Dr. Robert Schiller, Chief Academic Officer at the Institute for Family Health. “Dr. Prine has inspired a generation of family physicians and her impact is felt throughout the field.”
