COVID-19 vaccines available for Ulster County children (6mo-5yrs)

November 4, 2022

In collaboration with the Ulster County Department of Health, the Institute for Family Health is now offering free COVID-19 vaccine to children 6 months to 5 years old in the Ulster County community. The Institute and the Department of Health are working together to reach out to schools, day care centers, and community groups to encourage county residents to protect their families by getting kids vaccinated. On December 31 and January 1, Dr. Martha Smith, a pediatrician at the Kingston Family Health Center, is appearing on Healthy Ulster Radio to talk about COVID-19 vaccines.

Moderna and Pfizer vaccines (6mo-5yrs) will be available at the following Institute health centers:

Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are available at the above locations and times.

To schedule an appointment, go to https://mychart.institute.org/covidvaccine or call (844) 434-2778. Your child does not need to be a patient at the Institute to schedule, but must live in Ulster County.

Please note: We are currently offering first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccines for children ages 6 months-5 years. We hope to have booster doses for this age group available soon!

Institute patients who would like to schedule for a COVID-19 vaccine can call (844) 434-2778 or 844-IFH-APPT. We are currently offering the Moderna vaccine for 6 months and up as well as Moderna (bivalent) boosters for ages 6 years and up. Visit institute.org/covid19vaccine for more information.
