Allison Adin, PSR, and Michelene Rizzuto, MOA, win BEE Awards

On April 23, 2026, the Institute was thrilled to recognize two outstanding staff members: Allison Adin, a patient services representative at the New Paltz Family Health Center, and Michelene Rizzuto, a medical office assistant at the Kingston Family Health Center.

The BEE (“Be Excellent Everyday”) Award honors medical office assistants (MOAs) and patient services representatives (PSRs) who demonstrate integrity, commitment, advocacy, respect and excellence in patient care. Nominations for the award come from patients, patients’ families and fellow staff.

Below is an excerpt from the nomination for Ms. Adin. All nominations are anonymous and edited for readability:

“I have never seen a more consistently pleasant person working with the public. Allison is capable and poised, and makes you feel welcome. Today she was very pleasant about the long wait for my appointment. She took the time to go into her computer and give me a time estimate. All of these things add to my experience of coming to New Paltz. I have been coming here for a long time. I am able to tell people that this is a good facility for them to try, and it is partly because I know they will be greeted by a polite person. They are all polite, but Allison has a sweet personality that is an asset to your organization. I hope she is appreciated here.”

“This was my first time meeting Michelene and she was absolutely amazing! She was so sweet and checked on me since I was here for a follow-up regarding my seizures. She was genuinely concerned about my safety and even asked to leave the door open just in case it happened again since I was having my seizures often. She checked on me and asked if I needed water or anything. I have never experienced that kind of care or concern.”

The Institute is so grateful to our MOAs and PSRs for all they do to care for our patients. Their efforts are a key part of our mission to provide top quality care to all our patients.
