Get to know us

We partner with Ulster County families from pregnancy through age five. We are a free and voluntary service, and our expert staff comes to you! We meet with you to provide: Collaboration around planning and preparing for labor and delivery, Breastfeeding education and support, with Certified Lactation Counselors on staff, The most current and accurate information on newborn and infant care, Interactive play to encourage your child's development, Child development screenings Information and activities for school readiness, Support in accessing preventative healthcare, Connection to other resources

UCHF has been partnering with Ulster County families for over 25 years! Beginning as one of three pilot programs in 1995, New York now has over 40 programs across the state.

 

 


Meet some of our staff

Rachel Senate

Rachel is the Senior Family Resource Specialist at Ulster County Healthy Families and has been working for the program for over 7 years. She enjoys being part of community events, while also working one on one with families. Rachel’s favorite part of her job seeing families flourish and reach their goals. In her personal time, Rachel enjoys hiking and exploring nature in the beautiful Hudson Valley.

Courtney Harrington

Courtney is the Program Assistant for Ulster County Healthy Families.  She has worked for Healthy Families for over two years. Her favorite parts of working for Healthy Families is seeing what a difference the program makes in the lives of the families the program works with, as well as working alongside the fantastic people on staff.  In her free time, she loves to listen to music, dance, and play with her kids.

Erin Castiglione

Erin is the Program Manager of Ulster County Healthy Families. She has lived in Kingston for 11 years and has worked with Ulster County Healthy Families for over 10 years. Erin started as a Family Support Specialist, and has now been the Program Manager for the past two years. Erin’s passion is to support parents through their parenting journey and provide a strength-based approach in assisting families to reach their personal goals and the goals they have for their children. Erin’s career at Healthy Families motivated her to go back to school after she had her first child. She has now earned her Master’s Degree in Psychology with a specialization in Child and Adolescent Development.
