Ulster County Healthy Families

If you are expecting a baby or have an infant under 3 months old and you live in Ulster County, we can help. We partner with Ulster County families from pregnancy through age five. With our free and voluntary home visiting services, our staff comes to you. We can provide support, information, and resources to help give your children a great beginning and foster healthy family relationships.

Services and resources we provide:

  • Collaboration around planning and preparing for labor and delivery
  • Breastfeeding education and support, with Certified Lactation Counselors on staff
  • The most up-to-date information on newborn and infant care
  • Information about how to play with your baby to encourage learning
  • Information and activities for school readiness
  • Support in accessing healthcare
  • Connection to other resources

The Institute for Family Health accepts Medicaid, Medicare, and most insurance plans. If you do not have health insurance, we can help. Ask us about how to apply for our sliding-fee discount program. You may be eligible based only on income and family size.
