Hussain, MD, MPH, MSW

Medical School - St. George's University
Graduate - Temple University
Undergraduate - New York University

I was born in New Jersey but grew up in Wilkes-Barre, PA. I went to NYU and studied social work and later pursued a Masters in Social Work in Philadelphia, PA. I later worked as an Americorps VISTA at a charter school in Philadelphia where I implemented programs for health and wellness, including healthy eating, farm education, high school sexual education, and grant writing. I moved to the Caribbean island of Grenada and attended St. George’s University where I pursued my MD/MPH. Learning in Grenada broadened my outlook on providing efficient and sustainable healthcare and motivated me to practice medicine with a public health and primary care perspective. With my background in social work, I hope to bring a unique insight into helping individuals take care of their health. In my free time, I like to explore new foods and new places, read fiction, play tennis, play the piano, and spend time with family and friends.
