Professional experience & accomplishments

Dr. Alondra Lerebours-Onate is a native New Yorker, a Latinx woman of color, a first generation American, and someone who is proud to serve communities in need and help them achieve wellness. She received her undergraduate and medical training at the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education in NYC. There, Dr. Lerebours-Onate learned in depth about caring for underserved populations and the positive impact that quality primary care and a diverse healthcare force has on a community. During her time in medical school, she was president of her institution’s Ob/Gyn Specialty Interest group, and worked with Kaiser Permanente to lead workshops for aspiring medical students. Her professional interests include women’s health and reproductive justice, LGBTQ+ health, health equity initiatives, and community medicine. In her spare time, Dr. Lerebours-Onate enjoys spending time with her husband and their black cat Salem, dancing, traveling, and eating sushi.
