A little about me

I am a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. My practice involves a holistic approach to care, looking broadly at a patient’s health, and not just the problem at hand. I believe in centering the patient and allowing the patient to take ownership over their health.

Why I love my job

I was drawn to family practice for its emphasis on disease prevention and care across the lifespan. I am most excited when patients are intentional about their health and wellbeing, reach milestones in disease management, and welcome me into their life stories. I also love my work because it keeps my mind active, and I learn something new at work every day!

Professional experience & accomplishments

Dr. Adam Eldahan is a Family Nurse Practitioner with the Institute for Family Health and Instructor with Mount Sinai Department of Family Medicine and Community Health. He is Board Certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. He is an experienced health researcher, with academic publications on LGBT health, global health, social determinants of health, and plant-based medicine. His clinical interests include preventive medicine, sexual and reproductive health, trans and gender-diverse health, and homeless care.
