Overdose Prevention and Harm Reduction
Each person has their own path to recovery. We believe in the principles of harm reduction and take a no-judgement approach to treatment. We provide education and training in harm reduction and overdose prevention as part of our approach to treatment.
Naloxone (also known as Narcan®) is a safe medication that can save someone’s life by reversing the effects of an opioid overdose. It only works on opioids, such as heroin, pills and fentanyl, but it is safe to use even if opioids are not present. If you are worried you or someone you know may be at risk of an opioid overdose, you can learn how to use Narcan to help prevent overdose, and even receive a free Narcan kit from us.

We offer free test strips that will test for fentanyl in drugs.
We offer regular trainings in how to prevent overdose with naloxone (Narcan) and fentanyl test strips. These classes take place on Zoom with a professional trainer, and last around 30 minutes. After completing a training, you can have a free Narcan kit mailed to you.
Trainings are free and open to all. You do not have to be a patient to attend a training.
