Dr. Neil Calman is inducted into Gold Humanism Honor Society

The Institute for Family Health is pleased to announce that Dr. Neil S. Calman, MD, has been inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society (GHHS) at the CUNY School of Medicine. GHHS recognizes medical students, residents, faculty, and other healthcare professionals who demonstrate exceptional dedication to patient-centered care and compassionate service. Founded by the Arnold P. Gold Foundation, GHHS chapters exist in medical schools and healthcare institutions across the United States.

Neil S. Calman, MD, is Chief Executive Officer of the Institute for Family Health and Chair of the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai/Mount Sinai Hospital. Since 1983, Dr. Calman has led the Institute in developing family health centers and health professionals training programs in New York City and the Hudson Valley. Dr. Calman is also nationally known for his contributions to addressing racial and ethnic disparities in health and advancing the use of health information technology.
