Behavioral Health

We offer evidence-based treatment for mental health conditions in children, adolescents, and adults.  We provide diagnosis and treatment for conditions such as depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), bipolar disorder, and psychosis, among many other conditions.  Treatment often includes psychotherapy, medication, or a combination of both.  All services are confidential.

Therapy

Talk therapy, also known as psychotherapy, is provided by licensed clinicians with advanced training in individual and family therapy.  Therapy involves meeting with a mental health professional to identify and work through problems that may contribute to or result from mental health conditions.  Many people find that therapy helps them to face difficulties in their lives and take action to improve their situation.  Our approach is to provide time-oriented therapy with specific treatment goals to help improve your abilities to manage the things you have going on in your life.

Your therapist will listen, encourage you, and challenge you to meet your goals. Here are some ways that your therapist might work with you:

You and your therapist will talk about your problems and identify actions you can take to overcome them. Your therapist will help you take small steps that are within your power to accomplish.

Your therapist will help you understand how your own thoughts determine how you view a situation and help to change how you may react to the situation.

Psychiatry and Medication

Therapy may be used alone or in combination with medication.  Some patients may also receive medication without attending therapy.  If medication may be indicated, you will have an appointment with a primary care provider, psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner who may recommend prescription medication for you.
