Stay up to date on your vaccines through the holiday season

November 18, 2022

Flu season is here and New York State Department of Health is urging all New Yorkers to get their flu shots as flu cases this year have been spreading earlier than usual. With both flu and COVID-19 cases on the rise, we encourage everyone to get their flu shot as soon as possible and stay up to date on their COVID-19 vaccines.

For more on flu shots, read our FAQs on the 2022-2023 flu season here.

For more on COVID-19 vaccine and boosters, go to https://institute.org/covid19vaccine/. Those due for the updated (bivalent) booster are strongly encouraged to receive them, since the updated booster provides protection against the original viruses that cause COVID-19 as well as the Omicron variant.

The Institute for Family Health is also offering free Moderna and Pfizer vaccines to children in Ulster County, through a partnership with the Ulster County government: Read more here.
