Racism and Our Families’ Health: Connecting the Dots Virtual Community Conference June 19 (PART I) 3-5 PM

FBOIJuneWebinar

Bronx Health REACH, a program led by the Institute for Family Health, invites you to our free virtual community conference, Racism and Our Families’ Health: Connecting the Dots on Friday, June 19 (PART I) from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Experts on undoing racism and advancing health equity, in addition clergy and community leaders will lead the conversation and provide insight on the implications of race and racism on many of the important decisions we make. Race and racism play a vital role in our personal, professional, and social lives: where we live, who our friends are, which political candidates we vote for, and which social programs we support. We will explore the current role of faith-based organizations in the Bronx in addressing racial and ethnic health disparities.

We aim to create widespread awareness of the role of racism in health outcomes; facilitate a community conversation on race and racism, and provide resources for how community members can be their own advocates in addressing racism and health inequities.
