YOUR HANDS CAN LIFT A COMMUNITY.

Institute for Family Health family medicine residents provide outstanding, affordable health care to medically underserved communities in three regions of New York State: Manhattan, including Harlem and downtown; the Bronx; and the Mid-Hudson Valley. The communities we serve experience significant barriers to accessing primary care and are affected by deeply entrenched health disparities. As is often the case, most of these underserved communities are right next door to more affluent, thriving neighborhoods, where green space and nutritious food are readily available, health literacy is high, and families face fewer barriers to care, such as transportation costs and consistent insurance access.
